VenaSeal

What is VenaSeal?

VenaSeal is a nonthermal vein closure system that treats varicose veins. The system delivers a small amount of a specially formulated medical adhesive to seal — or close — your dysfunctional vein. Your body then reroutes the blood to a nearby healthy vein, causing the unhealthy vein and related symptoms to disappear. VenaSeal is a more comfortable experience than other varicose vein treatments. Atlantic Integrative Medicine also offers radiofrequency ablation using the ClosureFast™ procedure for the treatment of varicose veins.

Schedule online. It's easy, fast and secure.

What happens during Venaseal treatment?

VenaSeal is a simple, outpatient procedure that is performed right in the office without the need for anesthesia. A licensed professional will use a special catheter to place the adhesive into the diseased vein and apply pressure to seal the vein closed. Then they remove the catheter and cover the wound with a bandage. With VenaSeal, you can expect less pain, less bruising and shorter recovery time when compared to thermal ablation. Plus, there's no need to wear compression stockings after the procedure. Treating your varicose veins may reduce your risk of developing more serious circulation problems.
